About this policy

Pivvy is an app where people share clothing reviews along with their sizing, so others can tell what will fit them. This policy explains what Pivvy collects, why, who can see it, and how to delete it.

Pivvy does not sell your information, does not show ads, and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Who can use Pivvy

Pivvy is only for people 18 or older. We ask for your date of birth at sign up to check this. Your date of birth is never shown to anyone.

What we collect

Account: your email address and password. Your password is stored securely and nobody at Pivvy can read it.

Date of birth and community rules: your date of birth, and when you accepted the community rules.

Sizing, if you add it: your country, section (men’s or women’s), height, top and bottom sizes, measurements (chest or bust, waist, hips, inseam), weight, and your Show my weight choice.

Posts: your photos and videos, the item type, brand, item name, size worn, fit verdict, caption, and whether you showed your sizing. Each post keeps a copy of the sizing you had when you posted it.

Profile: your username, your bio, your optional profile photo and cover photo, and for Creators, one optional link.

Activity: your comments, the posts you like, the posts you save, the accounts you follow, your match rate answers, the accounts you block, and the reports you send.

The sign up survey

When you sign up, Pivvy shows a short survey with five questions: your biggest struggle shopping for clothes online, which items are hardest to find your size in, where you shop for clothes most, how you heard about Pivvy, and your biggest issue with online clothing reviews.

The survey is optional. You can skip it, and skipping never stops you from signing up. Every answer is a tap from a list.

Only the app owner can read survey answers. Nobody else can, including other Users and Creators, and including you after you answer. Answers are never shown in the app and never used for matching, sorting, or ranking. They are only used to understand what shoppers need and to improve Pivvy.

How we use your information

To run your account and keep you logged in.

To show your posts, profile, and comments to other people on Pivvy.

To find matches. Pivvy compares your saved sizing with the sizing other people show, to show you people whose sizing matches yours. Weight is only compared when both people’s weight is known, and a hidden weight is never compared. Nothing is ever sorted or ranked by weight or body type.

To keep Pivvy safe: to filter comments, act on reports, and enforce the community rules.

Who can see what

Users: your sizing is private, except on posts where you choose to show it.

Creators: your sizing shows on your profile and on your posts. Your weight only shows if you turn on Show my weight.

Hidden weight is never shown to anyone. Your date of birth is never shown to anyone.

Your username, profile photo, cover photo, bio, posts, and comments can be seen by other people on Pivvy, except people you block or who block you. Your comments show your username.

Your match rate answers are private. Others only see a Creator’s totals, never who answered what.

Likes: everyone can see how many likes a post has. Only the person who posted it can see who liked it.

Saved posts: only you can see the posts you save, on the Saved tab of your own profile. Nobody else can, including the person who posted it, and nobody is told when you save their post. There is no saved count.

Following: everyone can see how many followers and following a profile has. The app doesn’t show lists of who follows whom. Blocking someone removes any follow between you.

Sharing: when you share a post, the iPhone share sheet sends a link to that post to whoever you choose. Pivvy doesn’t see who you share with.

Your blocks are private. People you block are not told.

Reports are private. Only the app owner can read them.

Services that help run Pivvy

Supabase stores your account, your information, and your photos.

Mux stores and plays videos.

Resend sends our emails, like the one that confirms your email address. It receives your email address to send them.

These services only handle your information to run Pivvy for us.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account any time in Settings, with Delete account. Right away, your profile, posts, and comments are hidden from everyone, and you are logged out.

You then have 30 days to change your mind. Log back in before then and you can restore your account, with everything brought back.

After 30 days, your account, profile, profile photo, cover photo, sizing, posts, photos, videos, comments, likes, saved posts, follows, match rate answers, blocks, and survey answers are deleted for good, automatically.

Reports you sent or received are kept so we can keep the community safe, but your account is no longer attached to them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
